Kristy Rivera, 4, and her mother, Sophia, watched over a rescued chick yesterday during a free training seminar hosted by the Wild Bird Rehab Haven at the Moiliili Community Center. The organization trains people to care for orphaned and injured wild birds. The group is looking for a new office and care center because its lease at Puck's Alley is ending. Local musician Sean Na'auao, middle, performed a rare acoustic set yesterday afternoon at the Great Hawaiian Folk Life Festival at Kapiolani Bandstand. Na'auao recently moved to Maui but was back on Oahu just for the festival. Aside from the entertainment, there were booths encouraging both locals and visitors to cherish the land and life of Hawaii.
