Waikiki hotel has kamaaina special
The Doubletree Alana Hotel-Waikiki is making it a little easier for kamaaina to take a break this spring by offering rates starting from $139 per night plus tax for local residents.
The spring rate will be available through May 31 (based on availability; some blackout dates apply) and will give kamaaina a chance to take a minivacation without having to spend a fortune.
The Doubletree Alana Hotel-Waikiki is an intimate boutique hotel that combines proximity to the beach and the excitement of Waikiki, with relaxation and quiet.
In addition to the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that await guests at check-in, the hotel also offers a 24-hour business center, heated pool and poolside fitness center.

Kauai resort offers $119 local rate
ResortQuest Kauai Beach at Makaiwa is offering a kamaaina rate beginning at $119 a night for a garden-view room.
For additional savings, kamaaina guests are presented at check-in with an "Aloha Book" (one per room) containing exclusive offers worth up to $1,300 for dining, attractions, activities, golf, spa treatments and shopping.
The room rate is valid until Dec. 18. Prices are subject to change without notice, and some blackout dates apply.

Airport hotel offers rate for residents
Local residents heading to Honolulu or who hate to rush to the airport need look no further than Best Western the Plaza Hotel or the newly renovated OHANA Honolulu Airport Hotel for savings.
Through May 24, kamaaina can enjoy a stay in all nonsmoking accommodations for a nightly rate of $125 per night. This includes breakfast for up to two at Willoughby's Restaurant when staying at the OHANA Honolulu Airport Hotel or the Plaza Restaurant when staying at Best Western the Plaza Hotel, both managed by Outrigger Enterprises Group.
The OHANA Honolulu Airport Hotel recently completed $5.5 million in renovations and provides affordable accommodations near the Honolulu Airport entrance.
