Discovery Center puts kids in a business mood
Support young entrepreneurs while searching for some good deals.
Hawaii Children's Discovery Center is holding a keiki swap meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow at Kakaako Gateway Park.
The keiki swap meet is designed to teach children the value of money, economics and trade, in a fun and educational manner.
The participating kids are responsible for collecting their own items for sale, pricing each item and handling cash transactions. Call 524-KIDS.

One-day vintage 'Wiki Wiki' sale
You're sure to find a treasure at the Wiki Wiki One Day Vintage Collectibles & Hawaiiana Show and Sale Sunday at the Blaisdell Hawaii Suites, 777 Ward Ave. The older the item, the better as nothing sold here is under two decades old.
Hawaii and mainland vendors will present 91 tables of aloha shirts, shabby chic furniture, victorian style home decor, estate jewelry, surf items and more.
Show hours are 10:30 to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $3.50, children ages 7 to 11, $2. Early entry fee (9 a.m.), $15.

Home workshop offered Tuesday
Learn all the basics of how to start up and finance construction of a new home or remodeling project at "Build New or Re-Do," a free workshop sponsored by Homeworks Construction.
Hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Plumeria Room, Ala Moana Hotel.
Featured guest speaker Caron Hill of Caron B Realty will provide the latest information on vacant land, tear downs and fixer uppers listed for sale on Oahu.
