Fighting Eel unveils laid-back spring line
How lucky is it that we live in Hawaii, where Fighting Eel fulfills so many clothing needs, morning, noon and night?
With such languid, laid-back ease in the form of soft, body-skimming draping, the line's a natural fit for spring and summer wardrobes.
Local fans of Fighting Eel are accustomed to thinking of the label as ours, all ours, but in truth the idea of island-style ease has made a splash from coast to coast. Now that Paris Hilton has been photographed in Fighting Eel, how long will it be until every woman in the country covets the line? Can the original Hawaii fans at least have first dibs?

For Spring 2007, in boutiques now, Fighting Eel is showing an array of short dresses in saturated blue, green, creamsicle and violet hues, with halter or bandeau tops for soaking up rays wherever you go.
Princess or A-line dresses with cap sleeves appeal to more conservative types.
Also be on the lookout for plunging V-necklines, one-shoulder dresses and multicolored designs with fun cutouts and the convenience of side pockets for times when you want to be untethered from baggage or worries.
Summer styles hit the boutiques in early April.
