Helsham scores 23; Aiea beats Radford
Natasha Helsham scored a game-high 23 points to lead Aiea over No. 8 Radford 46-45 in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red West opener for both teams.
Na Alii used a 26-18 second-half surge to overtake the Rams. Capri Holiona supported the sharp-shooting Helsham with 14 points of her own.
The Rams, coming off an impressive preseason win over Kaimuki, were unable to match buckets down the stretch with Aiea's high-scoring tandem.
Tanitra Byrd poured in 21 points and Marlena Malepeai added 12 for Radford.
