Wahine sail into 14th at Navy regatta
The 15th-ranked Hawaii sailing team finished 14th at the Navy Women's Spring Intersectional this past weekend at the U.S. Naval Academy.
The Wahine scored 433 points, while the College of Charleston took the title with 162 points. Hawaii finished 15th in the A division, thanks to sailors Crystal Bronte, Darla Baldwin and Pam Magasinn. The team also took 12th in the B division behind the efforts of Becky Mabardy, Jackie McLoughlin and Magasinn.
The regatta featured 36 races -- 18 in both the A and B divisions -- and included 11 nationally ranked squads from across the country.
Women's rodeo season opener nears
The Hawaii Women's Rodeo Association's first jackpot rodeo of the season will be held on Saturday, March 17, at Gunstock Ranch in Kahuku. The event will feature open, 3D and keiki barrel racing and pole bending.
