Fortune forecast
Change is in store for those born in pig years
New Year festivities are long past for those who follow the Western calendar, but a new year is just beginning for followers of the lunar calendar preparing to welcome the Year of the Pig, or Boar, today.
According to Astrology.com, pigs are intelligent creatures, forever studying, playing and probing in their quest for greater knowledge. They have so much perfectionist in them that others might be inclined to see them as snobs, but this is a misconception.
Feng shui expert Peter So writes in his book "Your Fate in 2007" ($21.95 at Dragon Gate Bookstore) that those born during pig years are likely to feel restless, which could result in moving home or office, or in travel and relationship changes. A possible career promotion will not lead to any real economic benefit.
So's forecasts for other signs:
» Rat: No matter what you do, you'll maintain strong luck. There's not much room for career to progress, but your interpersonal skills bring powerful people to your aid.
» Ox: Your luck is stable, free from crisis. Your relationship luck is so-so, without signs of conflict, meaning your relationship is unlikely to change.
» Tiger: All Tigers are entitled to some wealth this year, with the lucky star Sui He by your side. On the other hand, the unlucky star Wang Shen is an annoyance, causing you to lose your belongings (wallet, cell phone, keys) more frequently.
» Rabbit: You've had fewer bad years and an easier life than other zodiac signs, thus you might want to spare some time and money to help those less fortunate. This would make your life more complete.
» Dragon: If you started dating last year, you have a chance of getting married. If you broke up with someone, start dating again -- you have excellent love luck this year. With positive energy, you get things done more easily.
» Snake: The star of mobility in your constellation makes it likely you'll travel, move home or office and experience other changes. The unlucky star Da Hao implies financial loss.
» Horse: You have many opportunities for achievement in the last half of the year; take them without hesitation. Horses have no particular relationship luck.
» Goat: You have a stable year without any star of relationship, disagreement or union. You're subject to gossip in lunar March and June. Your gastrointestinal system is prone to ailments until Aug. 8. Try to eat lighter food before that date.
» Monkey: You're said to be experiencing quadruple conflicts on every level, involving more disputes and poor interpersonal relationships. You're advised to take no risks.
» Rooster: You don't feel like working hard this year and want to slack off. As the economy grows steadily, your luck is likely to get better.
» Dog: The strong Fire energy from last year into this year brings you better luck. If you miss your chance, you'll have to wait until 2010 for another round of good luck.
