Hawaiian entertainers to lend their talents
Ohana Concerts will be held nightly from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Waikiki Beach Walk.
The concerts will showcase the talents of such veteran Hawaiian entertainers as Gaylord Glushenko and Mike Barques, who come together as the Lukini Duo. Another twosome, called Ualei, will feature Kapono Haynes and kumu hula Ku Souza, both graduates of the Hawaiian-studies program at the University of Hawaii.
The Joe Wilcox Duo, comprised of Joe Wilcox and Robert Keliihoomalu, also will perform, as will the Kila Brothers Duo.
Elena Martinez and Wayne Shishido will perform, as will falsetto singers Andrei Puchert and Mike Barques. The lineup also includes Rick Rickard, Kaimana and slack-key guitarist Moon Kahele. Cousin Wayne Shishido will share the stage with guest musicians such as Dr. Isaac Akuna, Kamaka Tom, Kaouiokalani, Derrick Kam and Tau Grieg.
