Urlacher to miss Pro Bowl
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. » Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher suffered a toe injury in the Super Bowl and will not play in Saturday's Pro Bowl.
Antonio Pierce of the New York Giants will replace the Bears middle linebacker on the NFC team, the Giants said in a statement.
"I am too excited to even think about it," Pierce said of his first Pro Bowl selection in six NFL seasons.
"This is something that I have been waiting to get to since I have been a starter. It does not matter how you get there, as an alternate or a starter.
"It is an honor that I will take and carry with me for the rest of my career."
