Temporary repairs have been completed on a 485-foot Chinese cargo ship that entered Honolulu waters to repair a crack in its hull. The Tong Cheng, shown above, was escorted yesterday to Barbers Point Harbor for more work, U.S. Coast Guard officials said. The ship, which is carrying general cargo, was originally destined for Cuba but will return to China for further repairs. Officials said work will be monitored to ensure no oil is spilled.
