Thirteen carpentry students from Honolulu Community College under the supervision of Jeff Uyeda, associate professor of carpentry, lent their skills yesterday to the YWCA on Richards Street, renovating a meeting room. After years of neglect and termite damage, the building was in need of urgent repair. The students knocked down old cabinets and are refurbishing the rooms with brand-new fixtures. Patrick Rivera, left, and Van Hiyakumoto prepared some framing material for a set of doors. CLICK FOR LARGE
