Lau captures Narcissus title
CONGRATS TO Roosevelt High School graduate and current University of Hawaii at Manoa student
Jessica Mew Luan Lau, who took home the title of Narcissus Queen on Saturday.
Lau was picked over nine other contestants in the 58th annual Narcissus Festival Queen Pageant, presented by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and held at the historic Hawaii Theatre. Fellow UH student Sibyl Wong was named first princess; Adrienne Au, Jennifer Lam and Julia Chen round out the top five finishers of the night.

I GOT to party VIP-style at Osake Sushi Bar and Lounge for the second week in a row last Thursday, when celebrity motocross rider and tattoo shop owner Carey Hart took over the Kapiolani Boulevard restaurant with the crew from his new Waikiki location.
While Hart held court near the bar, H&H Waikiki artist Jack Omoto served as lead singer for a house band comprised entirely of co-workers from the shop. They weren't that bad either, considering the motley crew only had three days of practice before the gig. The Temporary Lovers followed with an enthusiastic set of their own.
Among those spotted in the crowd: KITV's Mahealani Richardson, SMART Magazine's Sarah Honda and Molly Watanabe, Hot 93.9's Pomai Uphouse, Clear Channel account execs Derin DeRego and Shawna Fukumoto, Power 104.3's KC and the always lovely Olena Rubin. Girard/Richardson's Christa Wittmier also stunned friends with her new redhead hairdo.
Also, Duane "Dog" Chapman was supposed to be at the party, but had to cancel after capturing yet another fugitive earlier that evening, according to publicist Mona Wood ...
