Hawaii tennis falls to San Diego
The University of Hawaii women's tennis team lost 7-0 to No. 57 San Diego yesterday at the USD West Tennis Courts.
The Rainbow Wahine (0-3) were unable to win a set against the Toreros (1-0). They conclude their four-match road trip today at Cal State Fullerton.
UC Irvine captures Rainbow Invite
The UC Irvine sailing team won the 2007 Rainbow Invite hosted by the University of Hawaii yesterday at Keehi Lagoon with a score of 67 points.
Hawaii fielded three different teams -- Hawaii Red, Hawaii Blue, and Rainbow Wahine, and those squads finished in third, fourth and sixth place, respectively.
The Hawaii Red team of Mark Spector, Leanne Horvitz, Brittany Peterson, Chip Lollar and Sarah Dosek gathered 109 points. Hawaii Blue (William Whitman, Pamela Magasinn, Andrew Meade and Cassandra Harris) earned 112. The Rainbow Wahine (Crystal Bronte, Jaclyn McLoughlin, Becky Mabardy and Darla Baldwin) finished with 158.
A split USC/Hawaii-Hilo squad finished 10th with 252 points, and UH-Hilo's complete team was 12th with 285.
