The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe
While visiting rural Rockford, Ill., Kevin C. Burns of Mililani came across three street signs in a group of about 15 houses that reminded him of home. There were Kahala, Moana and Ili Kai. Reid Johnson, Burns' friend from Rockford, is under the Ili Kai sign.
Robin and Chris Steis stopped at Cocos Hawaii in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Feme Alvarado of Makakilo found "a touch of Spanish aloha" along the beach at Costa Del Sol in Torremolinos, Spain.
