'Lost' producers considering when to wrap up the series
The producers of "Lost" have spoken with ABC executives about setting an end date for the series, executive producer Carlton Cuse said.
There's no sense that the finale is coming anytime soon, but knowing their deadline will help the show's writers lay out how they want the story to end, Cuse said yesterday in a meeting with TV critics in Pasadena, Calif.
Citing Fox's "The X-Files," Cuse said they didn't want to wear out their welcome. "That was a great show that probably ran two seasons too long. That is a cautionary tale for us."
