Indoor cycling benefits Epilepsy Foundation
Multisport trainer Raul "Boca" Torres will lead his third 12-hour indoor cycling marathon at the Honolulu Club to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii. The SpinFest runs 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 26, and you don't have to be a club member to jump in for part -- or, for the very brave -- all of the time.
The suggested donation is $20 per hour, which goes directly to the foundation. Corporate team sponsorships are available.
Bikes are limited, so call to reserve a space and time: 543-3910.
A reception will follow, featuring wine, cheese, prizes and live music in the club's lounge.
SpinFest kicks off the Epilepsy Foundation's national bike/run/walk fundraiser on Jan. 28. Sharon's Ride starts at Kapiolani Community College and features bike courses of varying distances, including 10, 35, 75 or 100 kilometers, or a 5K or 10K run/walk into Diamond Head. To register, call 528-3058.
