CARING FOR THE AINACINDY ELLEN RUSSELL / CRUSSELL@STARBULLETIN.COM
Brian Cox helped hoist a piece of scrap metal into a bin Saturday as students, citizens, community leaders and recycling companies all worked to clean up and raise funds for McKinley High School as part of Aloha Aina Earth Day. Christmas trees, batteries, computers, ink jet cartridges, refrigerant, newspapers, unwanted household items and clothing were among the items accepted at the ad hoc recycling stop. The next recycling and cleanup day will be held Feb. 17 at Kapolei High School.
