Warriors volleyball tickets on sale

Individual tickets for Hawaii men's volleyball home matches are on sale.

The Warriors, 23-5 last season, are ranked No. 4 in the CSTV/AVCA Coaches Top 15 poll. Hawaii opens its 19-match home schedule with next Wednesday's exhibition against British Columbia.

Prices are $14 for lower level and range from $3 to $11 for upper level. Prices for the exhibition matches against UBC, Jan. 3 and 5, and the alumni doubleheader March 2 are $3 to $4 upper level and $6 lower level.

Tickets are available at the Stan Sheriff Center, Aloha Stadium and Windward Community College ticket offices, and online at www.HawaiiAthletics.com.

Mike Wilton (285-119) begins his 15th season as Hawaii coach. The Warriors open Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play on the road at UC Irvine, Jan. 12-13.

UH's home schedule includes the 13th Outrigger Hotels Invitational (Jan. 18-19), UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 8-9), USC (Feb. 14 and 16), Pepperdine (March 8 and 10), Cal State Northridge (March 16-17), Lewis (March 23-24) and Stanford (April 13-14).

Batye signs with Vulcans soccer team

Trinity Batye, a transfer from The Citadel, has signed to play for the Hawaii-Hilo women's soccer team.

The 5-foot-5 forward from Clearwater, Fla., started 18 of 20 matches for the Bulldogs in 2005, scoring four goals and recording three assists.
