Mariposa undergoes a leadership shift
The Mariposa at Neiman Marcus is under new leadership, in the kitchen and dining room.
Jason Kagihara has been named chef de cuisine, replacing Doug Lum, who left this fall for Portland, Ore. Duane Kawamoto, former manager at L'Uraku and Sergio's Italian Restaurant, is the new food and beverage manager, overseeing all three dining outlets in Neiman Marcus' Ala Moana Center store.
Kagihara, a 1996 graduate of Kapiolani Community College's culinary program, worked as Lum's sous chef after spending six years in Seattle restaurants.
