Envelopes mark Pearl Harbor's 65th
Four commemorative envelopes will be issued on Thursday, the 65th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, stamped with a Dec. 7 postal cancellation.
The envelopes will bear images of the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park, Battleship Missouri Memorial and the Pacific Aviation Museum, which opens Thursday.
The U.S. Postal Service will open special substations for the day, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Arizona Memorial and the Bowfin Museum, 10 a.m. to noon at the Missouri and noon to 2 p.m. at the Aviation Museum.
Each envelope will come in a "Pearl Harbor Historic Sites" folder with color photos and descriptions of the memorials and museums. Cost is $10 per envelope. Or bring your own envelopes for cancellation and buy stamps at the substations.
Envelopes will later be sold in each site's gift shop.
