Seattle shuts down UH-Hilo

Sam Kirby scored 21 points and David White added 15 as Seattle beat UH-Hilo 80-63 yesterday in Seattle.

Vince Alvarado led the Vulcans (2-5) with 15 points and Michael Martin scored 13. Seattle (5-1) hit 10 3-pointers, five of them by Kirby.

» Brandon Lee scored 16 points but Hawaii Pacific couldn't keep up with Holy Names last night at Mid-Pacific Gym. The Sea Warriors fell to 3-2 while the Hawks improved to 3-7.

» Sheila Azevedo scored 14 points but the UH-Hilo women remained winless after a 84-49 loss to Augustana (S.D.) last night at Omaha, Neb.
