Wiktorsson in second in Texas

Hawaii diver Mats Wiktorsson scored 361.15 points at the Texas Invitational last night, placing second among eight athletes.

Wiktorsson finished 7.65 points behind Stanford's Dwight Dumais. The Warriors are 13th in the men's standings while the Wahine are eighth with one day of competition remaining.

Silverswords take out Saints

Marko Kolaric scored 14 points and pulled down 15 rebounds as Chaminade beat Saint Martin's 92-73 at McCabe Gym last night.

Zack Whiting added 12 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for the Silverswords.

Hawaii judokas win 5 medals

Led by silver medalists Chaede Grace-Reyes and Melinda Chow, five Hawaii judokas earned medals at the first day of the Pan American Infantile Championships in Maracaibo, Venezuela.

Grace-Reyes (Pearl City) and Chow (Honolulu), both of Hawaii Tenri Judo Club, went undefeated to advance to their respective final in the 11-12 age group.
