VOLUNTEERS STREAM IN
GEORGE F. LEE / GLEE@STARBULLETIN.COM
Raymond Higashi, right, was among the volunteers from AmeriCorps, the Hawaii Commission for National and Community Service and the Ala Wai Watershed Association who worked yesterday to restore the stream bank that borders Kaimuki High School. Work included removing overgrown mangrove, replacing dislodged stones and landscaping the pathway. Higashi said he thought the bougainvillea was too pretty to trash, so he put some on his hat.
