Surfers will make the trip from the North Shore to converge on the Hard Rock Cafe Friday, when BAMP Project and the Waikiki restaurant present the "2006 O'Neill World Cup of Surfing Kickoff Party."
L.A. rockers Building a Better Spaceship headline the evening, with local band Satellite Grey opening things up. The fun starts at 9 p.m.

Fiji, left, Natural Vibrations and Inoa'ole headline "Rock the Truth," with Ulu Tree and E Dub serving as the concert's opening acts. Doors open at 4 p.m. Saturday, with free parking and admission.
