Three Oahu babies died in three apparently unrelated incidents early yesterday morning or last night.

Police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old girl early yesterday in Wahiawa.

They said a 38-year-old man woke up about 4:10 a.m. and found his daughter with what appeared to be blood on her face and not breathing in their Kilani Avenue home.

The baby was taken to Wahiawa General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The mother of a 5-week-old infant awoke and found her baby unresponsive in bed between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. yesterday in Honolulu, police said.

The infant was taken to St. Francis Medical Center, and pronounced dead, police said.

Another Wahiawa infant, an 8-week baby girl, was also found unresponsive in bed yesterday morning. Police said the death occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. and 3:45 a.m.

Police have classified all three cases as unattended deaths.
