Kauai fest is 'priceless'

Kauai's "Festival of Lights," a Christmas holiday tradition that is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has been selected as a "Priceless Pick" on MasterCard's Priceless.com Web site, dedicated to life's adventures and pleasures. It launched on Monday and offers the opportunity for all to share what's priceless to them.

Plus show at Macy's

Preview the latest fall styles for plus-sized woman -- sizes 14W to 24W -- during the Macy's Woman Fashion Show Event taking place 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ala Moana store's Special Events Room, Level 3.

KCCN FM 100's Lina Girl will host the fashion show, which will highlight the season's must-have items from Eileen Fisher, Charter Club, INC International Concepts, Style & Co., Nine West, Alfani, Baby Phat, Jones New York Signature and more.

Refreshments will be available, and those spending $125 or more on Macy Woman merchandise will receive a $20 Macy's gift card and a gift bag with items from featured designers. A suggested donation of $10 will benefit the American Heart Association.

The event is free but seating is limited, so reservations are recommended. Call 945-6427 to R.S.V.P.

Treat for feet

Sandal Tree Ala Moana will be welcoming three shoe designers to its store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, when shoppers will also have an opportunity to win free shoes from the companies featured.

Pelle Moda representative Ronnie Robbins will be in the store from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by Matisse designer Michelle Katz from noon to 2 p.m. and designer Michael Kaufman from Diego di Lucca from 2 to 4 p.m.

Star 101.9's Hudson will also be in the store from 1 to 3 p.m., giving out Star prizes.

Those who make a purchase will receive a gift of a Silkure hand-and-foot spa lotion.

Prada's Waikiki boutique is the first concept store for Prada.

New look for Prada

Prada is celebrating the grand opening of its newly renovated flagship store in Waikiki with the offering of a limited-edition bag available exclusively at the 2174 Kalakaua Ave. location.

The bag is small, fresh and fun in a soft pink and featuring an "Evening Heart" design in black, at $595. (Unfortunately, the "Evening Bear" purse shown has already sold out.) Each bag will have a leather label bearing its serial number and the words, "Limited Edition for Hawaii."

The 4,950-square-foot space is the first concept store of its kind for Prada, with features reflecting Prada's historic store, opened in 1913 in Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II arcade.

Big win for Nadalin

Marsha Nadalin of the Marsha Nadalin Salon & Spa in Kahala Mall received the Top In Crowd Salon Award at TIGI World Release 2006, held recently in Las Vegas.

The salon received this award for its outstanding TIGI sales and support. The salon has consistently been the top Celebrity Level Salon each quarter since the In Crowd Salon Program started in January 2005.

TIGI is known around the world for its popular Bed Head, Catwalk and S-Factor product lines, all including shampoos, conditioners and styling products.
