A tenth of a penny's gain was all it took to put
Mera Pharmaceuticals Inc. on top of the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Stock Index this week in percentage terms. But at 0.7 cents a share, Mera remains down more than 56 percent year to date.
In second place is Hawaiian Holdings Inc., parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, up nearly 3 percent for the week. Hawaiian's stock is up more than 4 percent year to date, and up more than 42 percent for the last 12 months.
The Bloomberg / Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
