Hawaii Winter Baseball, UH soccer games postponed
Yesterday's earthquake caused the postponement of at least three Hawaii sporting events.
The Hawaii Winter Baseball League games scheduled yesterday at Hans L'Orange Field between the CaneFires and Honu and at Les Murakami Stadium between the Sharks and BeachBoys were canceled due to the earthquake.
"We are looking at making these games up on Nov. 5, when the teams are scheduled to play each other again," said Clyde Nekoba, HWB president. "We would play two seven-inning games."
The Western Athletic Conference women's soccer match between the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine and Utah State at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park stadium yesterday was postponed to today at 5 p.m.
Utah State is scheduled to leave for the mainland tonight at 11.
