Keep the fashion vibe going at 'Urban Pacific'

In between the Fresh F.A.C.E. fashion shows on Nuuanu Avenue Saturday, pop into Next Door, at 43 N. Hotel St., where the second annual "Urban Pacific" marketplace and trade-show event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Up for grabs will be creations by local designers Fiume, Sassy Lassy, Etta 06, Stylus, Anna Lucas, Noelani Designs, San Lorenzo and more.

The highlight will be a 5 p.m. showcase of designs by three featured designers, including the Fall 2007 collection by CUTNSEWN, fashion by Dan Weaver.

More fashion that day:

» Fighting Eel will open its doors, upstairs at 47 N. Hotel St., from 2 to 6 p.m. to make its Fall 2007 collection available at retail prices. Orders will be taken for pieces not available in Hawaii boutiques, and accessories will be offered in advance of the gift-giving season.

» The Art Board will host an "Eastern Cultural Fair on the Court," featuring original kimonos, tea ceremony displays, kimono art by Jintaro Nishimura and fashion from several East Asian countries.

» The Hawaii Women's Business Center will host a Flashback Fashion Sale of things once fashionable from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1041 Nuuanu Ave.
