The Rev. Sky St. John laughed Sunday after trying to anoint B.J. Yugawa's protective fox terrier, Missy. The pet blessing was held by the Unity Church of Hawaii* to celebrate the special bonds between pets and their owners and for St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day today. "If the owner wants it, we'll anoint them too since they are such a big part of the pet's well-being," said St. John, who plans to make the blessing an annual public event. Also pictured is Brother Christopher Fishkin, a Third Order Secular Franciscan hermit.
