Mushroom festival
Auntie Pasto's will hold its annual Mushroom Fest Oct. 12-28 at its Beretania Street and Kunia Shopping Center locations. The celebration includes a special mushroom-focused menu, including Wild Mushroom Manicotti and Mushroom Bisque. Joy of Food & Wine
The ninth annual Joy of Food & Wine will take place Oct. 13 at the Halekulani to raise funds for the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific. Sara Moulton, executive chef of Gourmet Magazine since 1988, is the featured chef for the evening. The event is sold out, but organizers are taking reservations for the waiting list. Call 544-3516.
Chinatown food tour
Visit noodle houses, dim sum parlors, manapua shops, tea stands and bakeries with food writer Anthony Chang from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Cost is $20, including Chinese brunch, and limited to 16 registrants. Meet at the Louis Pohl Gallery at 10 a.m. on Oct. 14. For reservations, call 521-1812.
