Pure Hapa beauty line gets NY fashion boost

Nadyne Keala Orona got to mingle with celebrities as a sponsor of the
Tracy Reese fashion show at Olympus Fashion Week in New York.
Reese's 2006 spring collection launched last week, and the Hawaii-made Pure Hapa products were included in 900 gift bags distributed to the audience.
Backstage, Orona showed her beauty products to the media and to celebrities such as Lisa Edelstein of Fox TV's "House," R&B singer Jojo, actress Carmen Electra and designer Andre Leon Talley.
isle woman could win big on TV
A 35-year-old flight attendant is Hawaii's contestant in the new season of "The Biggest Loser," debuting at 7 p.m. tomorrow on KHNL/NBC. Elisha Purdy, whose favorite foods are ice cream, pizza and cookies, says the challenges of constant travel make it difficult for her to exercise or eat right. The third season of the show will feature a weight-loss contestant from every state, and a grand prize of $250,000.

"All the King's Men": Sean Penn plays a corrupt Southern politician in this adaptation of Robert Penn Warren's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, loosely based on the life of Louisiana Gov. Huey Long. Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Patricia Clarkson, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins costar. (PG-13)
"Flyboys": A tribute to the real-life Lafayette Escadrille, American volunteers who flew for the French during the early days of World War I. James Franco, Jean Reno and Martin Henderson star. (PG-13)
"Jackass: Number Two": Johnny Knoxville and his original crew of reprobates -- Steve-O, Bam Margera and the Wee Man -- return for another round of pointlessly dangerous, absurd and disgusting stunts. For example: trying to ride a firehose that's going full-blast. Or getting hit by a charging yak while blindfolded. You get the idea. (R)
"Jet Li's Fearless": This is supposedly the martial arts star's last action film. He plays Huo Yuanjia, an early 20th-century fighter chosen to represent his country in a competition against the best in the world. (PG-13)
