The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe
Pete Swanson of Honolulu found Hawaiian grinds during the "Art in the Pearl" festival in Portland, Ore., during the Labor Day weekend.
Ron and Bonnie Messina stopped in front of the Mai Tai Bar in Melbourne, Australia, while on vacation there last month.
Makiki's Ron Paik appreciated this touch of Hawaii while he was in Yangon, Burma. Paik said "there were even sidewalk vendors selling Hawaii ice cream in the 90-plus-degree heat."
