Wyland, Quiksilver to join Waikiki Beach Walk
Outrigger Enterprises Group, about three months away from opening the first phase of its $460 million Waikiki Beach Walk project, has announced another round of new tenants, including Wyland Galleries and Quiksilver.
Quiksilver at Beach Walk will be one of the company's signature stores, measuring 6,200 square feet. Scheduled to open on the street level in the first quarter of 2007, it will be Quiksilver's ninth free-standing store in Hawaii.
Wyland Galleries will move from its current Kalakaua Avenue location to Beach Walk. The gallery is expected to open the first quarter of 2007 next to Quiksilver.
David Carey, president and CEO of Outrigger Enterprises, said, "As the opening of Waikiki Beach Walk is nearing, it is gratifying to see tenants of this caliber joining us for what will be the beginning of a Waikiki renaissance."
Other new tenants include Banana Wind, a boutique offering Polynesian home decor and gifts; apparel stores Alter Ego and Oasis; Hawaiian Isles Virtual Tours; Peter Lik Gallery; and the Waikiki Beach Beauty and Apothecary. Another clothing store, Blue Ginger, will return to a space near the spot it occupied before construction began on the Beach Walk project.
Beach Walk also has signed on the Italian restaurant, Luna Sicilian Cuisine, which will be at the corner of Lewers Street and Don Ho Lane.
Besides a dozen new restaurants, more than 25 retail tenants have signed on for the new Beach Walk project that will also feature a time-share, Embassy Suites Hotel and the Trump International Hotel & Tower.
WBW Retail LLC, a partnership between Outrigger Enterprises and local developer Richard Gushman, is developing the 90,000-square-foot entertainment-retail center. Kaulana Corp. is the leasing agent.
