UH business program among best
The undergraduate international business program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is ranked 13th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, the school said in a news release.
The ranking is four spots higher than in last year's college edition of the magazine.
In April, the publication ranked the College's graduate program in international business tied for 21st with Dartmouth College and George Washington University.

9 to 10 cars burn in fire at airport auto body shop
A fire broke out at an auto body repair shop on Ualena Street last night at about 8:34 p.m.
Flames shot out of the roof of the building when firefighters arrived on the scene at 8:38 p.m., but crews were able to bring the fire under control at 9:09 p.m., a fire department spokesman said.
Axel Coch, who said he works for AK Auto Repair in the back of 2855 Ualena St., said he was working in the two-story industrial building last night and left for a short while.
When he returned, he saw the flames and called 911.
The fire department said about nine to 10 cars in the repair shop were burned. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
A hazardous materials truck was called to the scene, but was not needed.
Pedestrian hit by pickup on Nimitz dies
A 76-year-old woman died of injuries suffered Friday after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing North Nimitz Highway at 10:14 a.m., police reported.
The woman driver was headed west on Nimitz when the pedestrian crossed the highway near River Street, outside the crosswalk, police said.
The pedestrian was taken in critical condition to the Queen's Medical Center, where she died, police said.
Speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the accident.
Arrest made in theft from phone store
A man was arrested in the theft of two Blackberry phones from the Cingular Store at 1260 N. School St.
He was arrested at about 9:20 a.m. Wednesday at the Kalihi Police Station after the public called with information identifying and locating the suspect.
About 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, a man entered the store and removed two phones from a display.
