Richard Vida, left, talked with Dann Seki at the opening-night reception for Kumu Kahua's "Mahalo Las Vegas" Thursday. Vida, a Broadway veteran whose credits include "Les Miserables" and "42nd Street," praised the show, the cast and the "universality" of playwright Edward Sakamoto's characters.
