Congratulations, Melveen!

The "blue skies of Hawaii" were shining last weekend, just as it says in "The Hawaiian Wedding Song," as Melveen Leed married her high school sweetheart, martial arts master Al Dacascos, aboard the Hawaiian Rainbow off Waikiki on Saturday.

A small group of family and closest friends were invited to witness the exchange of vows. The guests came from across the state, the mainland and Tahiti -- Kanoe Cazimero, Audrey Fu, Kimo Kahoano, Jay Larrin and Jason Scott Lee were among them.

A second, larger ceremony was held in Kailua later that afternoon.

Leed entertained the crowd with a comic version of the standard "This is how to put on a life jacket" announcement as the ship left Kewalo Basin. Guitarist Kiks Hugho provided musical accompaniment for the ceremony, and celebrity chef Chai Chaowasaree served up a hearty buffet of sashimi, crab cakes and giant shrimp as the ship returned to port.
