Brazilian Show Room, home of the Brazilian bikini and casual apparel as made in Brazil, as shown at left, has moved a few doors away from its original site and will be celebrating the grand opening of its new site at 3588 Waialae Ave. (in the Queen Theatre building) with a party beginning at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow.

A Hawaiian blessing will be followed by a capoeira presentation at 6 p.m. and live Brazilian music at 6:30 p.m.

Shoppers will also receive a 20 to 50 percent discount throughout the day.

Fall trend preview

Get a peek at the new fall trends at Neiman Marcus, where there will be informal modeling of the top 10 trends -- from red shoes and gold necklaces to narrow pants -- from noon to 4 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday.

» St. John event: View fall's ladylike knits and dresses next Thursday to Aug. 26 in Designer Sportswear & Sports Shop, Level Two. Those who make a St. John purchase during the three days will receive a St. John key charm.

» Giorgio Armani Fall 2006 trunk show: Informal modeling in Designer Sportswear, Level Two, from 1 to 4 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday.

Wings Hawaii launch

Valerie Joseph is teaming up with local designer Samantha Howard to launch Wings Hawaii at the Valerie Joseph Boutique in McCully Shopping Center (think handmade beach chic clothing and jewelry).

A celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday will mark the launch. Enjoy a fashion-filled evening with complimentary drinks, pupu, music, prize giveaways and even get a free gift while checking out what Maui's newest designer has to offer.
