The Bloomberg /
was the top gainer in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin stock index this week.
The maker of products from microalgae racked up an increase of more than 17 percent for the week, but the gain left the stock at just 67 cents a share. Year to date the stock is up 3 percent, but over the last 12 months it is down 36 percent.
Trailing the pack in the index this week was Barnwell Industries Inc., down nearly 4 percent at $21.90. Year to date it is down nearly 13 percent, but over the last 12 months it is up 17 percent.
The Bloomberg / Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
