FLOATING TREASURE
CINDY ELLEN RUSSELL / CRUSSELL@STARBULLETIN.COM
Capt. Doug Leasure from the schooner Lynx kept his foot on a treasure chest yesterday afternoon as children dug a hole for it at Ko Olina Beach Park. Leasure and his crew have been touring Hawaii on the Lynx, an interpretation of a naval schooner from the War of 1812. The ship offers students hands-on experiences in learning about U.S. history. The vessel was also used to train the cast and crew of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean." Dockside tours and sailing programs will be held from tomorrow through Sunday at Ko Olina Marina & Resort. For reservations, call the Ko Olina activities desk at 679-4728. CLICK FOR LARGE
