Kevin Hughes, self-styled "Stand-Up Sex & Relationship Therapist," combined serious information about male-female relationships with comic insights July 26 as he opened a two-week engagement at Sharkey's Comedy Club.

The show was an early birthday present for Myrissa Jerves, whose birthday was last Thursday. Her husband, John, bought a copy of Hughes' CD for her as a souvenir.

Hughes' performances continue through Saturday. Call 531-4242.
