Last year: Vijay Singh successfully defended his title, shooting 65-66-63-70 for a 24-under 264 total and four-stroke victory over Tiger Woods and Zach Johnson. Singh also won the 1997 tournament.

Last week: Corey Pavin won the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee for his first PGA Tour title in 10 years, shooting 61-64-68-67 for a two-stroke victory over Jerry Kelly. The 46-year-old Pavin has 15 career victories.

Last week: Australia's Karrie Webb won the Evian Masters in France for her LPGA Tour-leading third victory of the season, closing with a 4-under 68 for a one-stroke victory over Wie and Laura Davies.

Last week: Loren Roberts won the Senior British Open at Turnberry for his fourth victory of the year, squandering a five-stroke lead before beating Argentina's Eduardo Romero with a par on the first hole of a playoff.
