Santos sings by the sea
Jerry Santos of Olomana and Friends headlines the Waikiki Aquarium's "Ke Kani O Ke Kai" concert at 7 p.m. tomorrow on the aquarium lawn. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and aquarium galleries will remain open all evening. Tiki's Grill and Bar will sell picnic items for $5 to $8. No outside food or beverage permitted. Tickets are $18, $10 for children 7 to 12, to benefit a new exhibit on the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. Call 923-9741, option 3.

Film series takes place under the stars
Kapolei Public Library begins a four-part outdoor film series this week, hosted by film historian Steven Fredrick. Wednesday's free presentation on the library lawn will be "Old-Time Surf-Fest: Vintage Hawaiian Surfing Films," a collection of rare films from the 1930s to the 1970s, including footage of famed waterman Duke Kahanamoku.
The monthly film series continues Aug. 16th with "Toontown Hawaii," Sept. 20 with "The Big-Band Music of Hawaii," and Oct. 25 with "It's Alive! The Return of Classic Monsters of Filmland."
Bring blankets and a snack. Movies start at sunset, about 7 p.m. Call 693-7050.
