Last chance to catch 'Oliver!'
The final performances of the student production of "Oliver!" take place tonight and tomorrow at Paliku Theatre, at Windward Community College.
The Hawaii Education of the Arts production began July 13 incorporating a cast of 50, ages 7 to 15, and a nine-piece orchestra. Many have years of singing experience; 15 are Honolulu Boy Choir members.
Oliver, the orphan longing for a family, is played by 10-year-old Matt Brown of Waianae.
Shows are at 1 and 7 p.m. today and 7 p.m. tomorrow. General admission tickets are $5 for today's matinee; $12.50 tonight and $15 tomorrow. Reserved seats are $20. Tickets are available at the door, or call 741-ARTS.

'Orchids for everyone!'
The Kaimuki Orchid Society holds an orchid show and plant sale this weekend at the Kilauea Recreation Center, next to Kaimuki Middle School. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Highlights of the free show include plant valet service, "Orchid Makeovers" (help with repotting; one plant per person), and classes on plant cultivation, building a shade house and flower arranging. Home expo offers exclusive products
The second annual "Remodel It Right Expo," being held July 28-30 at the Hawai'i Convention Center, will showcase about 100 products and services offered by the state's top contractors, suppliers and building industry experts.
Some products being introduced exclusively by vendors include Wiki Wiki Walls' faux lava rock, which looks like the real thing; and At Home Theatre of Hawaii's Screen Innovation's Visage front projection screen.
Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. July 28, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 29 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 30. Admission is $3 for adults, children under 12 admitted free with paying adult; $4 for a three-day pass. Self-parking is $5. Visit www.bia-rir.com.
