Eddie Kamae plans mall concert
Eddie Kamae sings songs and signs authographs at Kahala Mall's Center Court from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday. Kamae, one of Hawaii's Living Treasures, is the author of "Hawaiian Son," which will be sold after his concert, along with CDs including "Sons of Hawaii" and "Heart of the Ukulele." Kamae will sign autographs after his free performance. Call Barnes & Noble at Kahala Mall, 737-3323.

Back-to-school 'Scene'
Sad but true, school will be starting all too soon, but one bright spot is the many shopping ops. To get teens ready to take on the new school year, Ala Moana Center and Oceanic Cable will present "The Scene," a teen-only event featuring fashion shows, entertainment, prize giveaways and exclusive offers, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Participants include American Eagle Outfitters, Armani Exchange, Claire's, David & Goliath, Sanrio, Sera's Surf 'N Shore, Town and Country Surf, and Up & Riding. In addition, activities and free samples await at the Scene Bars set up for the occasion, as follows:

Macy's school days
Sassy and G magazine join with Macy's to present free back-to-school fashion shows Saturday at Macy's Ala Moana and Sunday at Macy's Pearlridge. The shows take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the stores' respective THISISIT departments.
The fashion presentation will feature the magazine's Teen Board, and there will also be games, prize giveaways and a deejay.

Sephora skin reading

Fashionista's Market will be hosting its Summer Clearance Sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gentry Pacific Design Center, 560 N. Nimitz Highway.
Markdowns on designer brand name apparel and accessories will make way for new goodies Aug. 12 and 13.
