Mary Worrall firm joins Sotheby's real estate network
Mary Worrall Associates Inc., one of Oahu's top luxury real estate firms, has become the second Hawaii company to join Sotheby's International Realty network.
The firm, which is owned by Mary Worrall and Elizabeth Worrall Daily, will now market all properties under the name Mary Worrall Associates Sotheby's International Realty. The company, which has been operating in Hawaii since 1972, has 45 sales associates who specialize in luxury homes, especially in such neighborhoods such as Kahala, Diamond Head, and Hawaii Loa Ridge.
Earlier this year, Sleeping Giant Realty Inc., a luxury real estate company on Kauai, became the first firm in Hawaii to be branded under Sotheby's International Realty network.
Since 1976, the New York auction house Sotheby's Holdings Inc. has allowed a few Hawaii real estate firms to market certain properties using its name. But Sleeping Giant was the first in Hawaii that could market all homes under the brand, said Eric Mangan, Sotheby's senior public relations and communications manager.
The company has about 300 affiliated offices in its franchise system, he said.
Realty companies that are formally affiliated with Sotheby's have the right to market all properties under the elite brand, and to access to Sotheby's marketing resources and business development tools.
"Mary Worrall Associates is an icon in Hawaiian real estate and is known for representing many of the finest estates, homes and luxury condominiums on Oahu," said Michael R. Good, president and chief executive officer of Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates Inc.
Competition in Hawaii's real estate industry made it the right time for Mary Worrall Associates to join Sotheby's International Realty network, Mary Worrall said.
"In addition to its worldwide marketing appeal, this is the only network that can provide us with the operational, technology, recruiting and business development resources we desired."
