The children at Makiki Christian Church preschool visited the Waikiki Aquarium yesterday on a field trip. Kenny Nguyen, left, looked on as Isaac Ibara was handed a hermit crab to feel by aquarium volunteer Charles Wong. Next to Ibara, Maxx Muramoto, Macina Bass, Kyler Saiki and Hailee Resuello also looked at the hermit crabs. KICKING OFF A MARTIAL ARTS COLLECTION

The Salt Lake-Moanalua Public Library celebrated its new martial arts collection of DVDs and books yesterday with a lion dance and martial arts demonstration by the Wah Ngai Lion Dance Association.
