Question: How can a veteran order medicine online?
Answer: The Department of Veterans Affairs Web site is www.myhealth.va.gov, where prescription refills can be ordered online and status of refills can be checked. If you registered before Nov. 11, 2004, you will need to re-register. If you're a current user, all you need to enter is your user ID and your personal password.
Q: What is Veterans' Mortgage Life Insurance?
A: It is available to severely disabled veterans who have been approved for a specially adapted housing grant.
Maximum coverage is $90,000 and is payable only to the mortgage company. Protection is issued automatically, provided the veteran submits information required to establish a premium and does not decline coverage. Coverage automatically terminates when the mortgage is satisfied. If a mortgage is disposed on through sale of the property, VMLI may be obtained on the mortgage of another home.
If you have questions about your benefits as a veteran, call Fred Ballard at the Veterans Affairs at 433-0049 or visit the VA Web site at
