ON THE PGA TOUR

Western Open

Purse: $5 million. Winner's share: $900,000.

TV: USA (Tomorrow-Friday, 10-noon HST) and KITV (Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon HST; Sunday 6:30-7:30 a.m., 10 a.m.-noon HST).

Last year: Jim Furyk won his 10th PGA Tour title and first since the 2003 Buick Open, holding off three-time champion Tiger Woods by two strokes.

Last week: J.J. Henry won the Buick Championship in Cromwell, Conn., to become the first Connecticut player to win the 55-year-old tournament. He closed with a 3-under 67 for a three-stroke victory over Hunter Mahan and Ryan Moore.

ON THE LPGA TOUR

HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship

Site: Gladstone, N.J.

Schedule: Tomorrow-Sunday.

Course: Hamilton Farm Golf Club (6,523 yards, par 72).

Purse: $2 million. Winner's share: $500,000.

TV: The Golf Channel (Tomorrow, 2:30-4:30 p.m. HST; Friday, 7:30-9 a.m. HST, 2:30-4:30 p.m. HST; Saturday, 7-8:30 a.m. HST) and KGMB (Saturday-Sunday, 9-11 a.m.).

Last year: Colombia's Marisa Baena won the inaugural event for her first LPGA Tour title, beating South Korean rookie Meena Lee 1-up in the final. The 60th-seeded Baena also beat Natalie Gulbis, Grace Park, Jennifer Rosales, Karrie Webb and Candie Kung.

Last week: Annika Sorenstam won her third U.S. Women's Open title, beating Pat Hurst 70-74 in an 18-hole playoff Monday at Newport Country Club.

ON THE CHAMPIONS TOUR

U.S. Senior Open

Site: Hutchinson, Kan.

Schedule: Tomorrow-Sunday.

Course: Prairie Dunes Country Club (6,646 yards, par 70).

Purse: $2.6 million. Winner's share: $470,000.

TV: ESPN (Tomorrow-Friday, 8-noon HST) and KHNL (Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m.-noon HST).

Last year: Allen Doyle won his third senior major title, shattering the tournament final-round record with an 8-under 63 at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio. Loren Roberts and D.A. Weibring tied for second, a stroke back.

Last week: Dana Quigley won the Greater Kansas City Golf Classic for the second year in a row and the third time since 2000, matching the course record with a closing 9-under 63 en route to a three-stroke victory.
