When Timmy Chang comes home for a football camp this weekend, it won't be a solo effort.

Chang is a client of Chad Ikei's Power 4 Sports organization based in Arizona. Ikei is a Kaiser graduate, who has a number of pro athletes in his program, including some of the Arizona Cardinals.

Chang is part of the staff that will host the three-day Power 4 Sports Football Camp Hawaii, which begins Friday at Kaiser. The first day of camp is for youngsters 8 and over, and the final two days are for older players up to 18.

"Timmy sponsored 11 of our kids to be in the camp," Saint Louis football coach Delbert Tengan said. Tengan coached Chang in football and basketball at the Kalaepohaku campus, and beams with pride about his former pupil's maturity and generosity.

Chang is currently on the Philadelphia Eagles roster.

"It makes me feel old," Tengan said. "The things that he got out of our program with Cal (Lee) here really stuck with him, and he really wants us to get better. He works out with Chad (Ikei), so he understands the benefits the kids can get from the program."

The camp will offer a mix of athletic development methods.

"He's going to cover a lot of bases, not only on the field, but mental attitude and preparation. I think it's a very good program," Tengan said.

"He knows it's gonna be a kind of small thing this year, but he wants to set the groundwork down for the future."

Eleven other NFL players are expected to be on the staff at the camp, including Kahuku graduate Aaron Francisco, an Arizona Cardinals safety.
